If you want a quick getaway and looking for a beautiful greenery nature then the province of LAGUNA is the best place for you! I usually visit Majayjay Laguna whenever I want a quick relaxation from a toxic week of city life, this is 2 hours drive from Manila. Taytay Falls is the popular tourist destination in Majayjay.

You can bring your own tent or rent to their locals. Bring your cash as there are lots of souvenirs you can buy here, food kiosks are easy to find, no need to worry about bringing water and food these are available at an affordable price. You can have it all here just bring some cash as the last bank where I get some bills were in SANTA CRUZ LAGUNA.

WAY TO TAYTAY FALLS

I remembered my friend and I decided to have a day tour here in Taytay Falls, I don't usually bring to much cash on me. The time we decided to go home, heavy rain came in and in just a snap, we're stranded.

We stayed up until 9 pm, rain stopped however I'm not that brave to drive in a slippery road so we literally sum of our cash together to get a shelter on that night, unfortunately all the rooms were fully booked and no tents available. We were thinking to stay at their Brgy. Hall as we have no choice but there was a guy offered their personal tent to us. I was like , hallelujah! lol

And then we went there, get the tent and immediately pitched it. We're literally laughing that moment as we didn't expect spending the night there but it was fun. We had our dinner from a little store and had at least a few bottles of beer.

This place gave me so much memories together with my friends, I once brought my family as well that was holy week but since a lot of people spending their holiday here, we decided to move somewhere nearby the place. Below are the few images I captured in here.

GUSALING MUSEO - SANTA ROSA BAYAN

When you heard about SANTA ROSA nowadays, it always pop up on people's mind are the enchanting scenery at ENCHANTED KINGDOM or the modern view park of Nuvali, the food outlets in SOLEDAD. Even when you google SANTA ROSA, I can't find the places where you could learn more about the beauty of the old SANTA ROSA.

Bihira na ako pumunta ng Santa Rosa Bayan as I worked in Pasay and since I'm from Dita, so everyday DITA - COMPLEX BALIBAGO ang destination ko.
One time, I had to go to the town proper as I need to get some documents from a friend. It was a very hot afternoon then, I decided to dropby to our local museum "GUSALING MUSEO - LUNGSOD NG SANTA ROSA" as I never visited the place yet. The building was the old municipal office and they turn it to a small museum.
I had a unforgettable experienced when I visited the museum.

When I went upstairs, checking some artifacts and all while the tour guide was looking at me near on the main door. I asked the lady if there any creepy stories behind this stuff. And she said why am I asking, "I said nothing, hindi naman ako matatakutin its just that nilalamig ako kanina pa. I showed her my two hands as I'm having a goosebumps, all my hair were literally standing up. The funny side of the story was the lady immediately asked me to go downstairs anyway I already finished roaming around the area. Nauna pa sya bumaba sa akin then kinausap nya ang securities about dun sa pagtayo ng mga balahibo. So may history na pala talaga, there was like a student who had the same experience as mine. See below some of the few photos I captured in this Museum.

SANTA ROSA CITY of LAGUNA

SANTA ROSA ARCH at Night

City of Santa Rosa, Laguna is my home town. When I was a little, I remembered me and my brother playing in Santa Rosa Plaza. So way back then, I remember that there was like a pond on the center of the Plaza where there were fishes and also a fake tree where you can hide inside.

When I was in grade school, I always put my finger into the mouth of the two lions at the Santa Rosa Arch, I don’t know why I'm doing that but yeah kinda weird. And there was like a moment that we can go up there as the gate were unlocked.

The City market back then was amazing, I forgot the name of the store where all students stuff were available so it was like a one stop shop.  There was also a famous “palamig stand” near on the main entrance of the market. Gulaman (gelatin) and Sago (tapioca) were the best sellers.

My childhood was really amazing as I spent my days in the town proper, I live in Dita, the last Brgy. of the City before Cabuyao Laguna so I’m a daily commuter back then. I traveled thru jeepney, most of the time small capacity of jeepneys were available for transportation unlike now that Sarao and stainless steel jeepneys are everywhere.

When I think of the old Santa Rosa, I always misses the old days though in this generation I would say it’s more adventure, much fun however the simplicity, the life style etc. those are memories that I hope the new kids could have experienced.

So one day, I searched in Google what are the best places or things to do in Santa Rosa and surprisingly most of the links appeared was to eat inside a shopping mall. OKAY. These are the things that we can actually do in every places in the country.

Yes, we got the huge theme park in town, we have shopping malls everywhere, fun activity in Nuvali. But I want to see the locale of my home town. So I decided to make a list of some of the places that you may try to visit here in SANTA ROSA.
